EYESHADOW BOGO

Just when I thought I was done spending money on makeup this week, Colourpop sends an e-mail that their eyeshadows are buy one, get one free. Are you kidding me? Eyeshadows that are only $4-5 to begin with are BOGO?? Uh, yeah sign me up. I'm *here* for it.

Being that Colourpop makes my favorite eyeshadow formula it would be a serious disservice to not inform you all that this is going on. I don't know how long the BOGO is going on (the e-mail was pretty vague, the whole "limited time only" thing.)

They have two formulas of eyeshadows - Super Shock which is described as a creme-powder and Pressed Powder which is exactly what it sounds like. Both formulas are BOGO so you can mix and match to your hearts desire. I personally prefer their pressed powder shadows because I find them easiest to work with for detailed looks, but if simplicity is more your jam check out the Super Shock formula.

The great thing about the pressed eyeshadows is that they can be purchased in pan-only form, meaning no bulky packaging or in a compact if that's more your thing. I personally go the pan-only route because it's a dollar cheaper (meaning I can buy more makeup..) and because I don't have to go out of my way to de-pot them (if you don't know what depotting is, that's fine. I can explain in a later post if you want.)

In general I prefer single eyeshadows to palettes because I find them more inspiring. I can pop them into a magnetic palette and rearrange at any given time to spark that creative juice. I just am not as inspired by pre-made palettes, I never have been.

To the right I swatched four of my favorite shades. I find the formula to be incredibly creamy, pigmented and easy to blend. They almost remind me of Kat Von D eyeshadows.

Colourpop's color range is pretty unique in my opinion. This the first eyeshadow range where I've been able to find the ~funky~ colors I wouldn't find elsewhere. For example, "Paper Tiger" is the perfect mustard yellow.. You'd be surprised how difficult it actually is to find a mustard yellow eyeshadow. Another good example of their unique shade range is "143", it's a beautiful Barney purple. A bright warm toned magenta if you will.

I can't say enough good things about this formula honestly.

So if you're looking to expand your eyeshadow collection or looking for the *perfect* shade you haven't been able to find anywhere else, I highly recommend you take advantage of this sale. I'm off to go stock up myself.

See ya in the next post. Until then, follow me on Instagram to see sneak peeks of my looks before they're posted here.
