HALLOWEEN 2017
October 31st 2017 and I've literally only done one Halloween look.
I've never actually done skull makeup on myself. 10/10 not as easy as all those Youtubers make it look. If I were to do it all again I'd add some jeweling through out both sides and add more detail to the teeth. However, my teeth are jacked in real life so it's onlu fitting that they are on my skull rendition too.
Anyway, next year I'll pump out more looks. Probably. Hold me to it, friends. I'm counting on you. This is a goddamn team effort.
On an un-realted note now that October is Octover it's almost time for Sephora's VIB sale aka the most wonderful time of the year. I've got a stupid long list this year. To be fair I have a stupid long list *every* year but I think this time I'm actually going to follow through. Since I refuse to go down alone, I'll have a post later this week about all of the things I plan on picking up + suggestions of things I think ya'll should consider picking up. Maybe even ~two~ posts.
This blogging thing is weird, man. But I'm into it.
Oh shit. I forgot to give details about this look. My bad. So. I sketched out the skull using a skin tone eyeliner. White would have worked too but limited resources (I also like, organized my vanity recently and I can't find jack shit so there's that too). Once I was content with my sketched lines I went over them with a black eyeshadow. I think I used Makeup Geek's "Corrupt" - I'd say any black eyeshadow would work but as you and I both know, not all black eyeshadows are the same.. You're gonna want a hella pigmented one, this one is my favorite.
After I had the lines sketched out I grabbed a small detailer brush and dipped it into "Destroyer" from Kat Von D's Mi Vida Loca Remix palette. I know this palette has *been* sold out so essentially just a dark pink eyeshadow. Or if you opt to do a different color, use the darkest shade of that color you've got. I used "Destroyer" around the outer edges of the outlines to add depth. On a fluffier brush I grabbed "Swoon" (same palette - aka a medium pink) to continue building on the depth. Finally, I blended out those edges with "Savage" from Urban Decay's Electric palette. I left the highest points of my face blank so to speak and moved on to filling in the darkest parts of the skull.
Once I had the darkest parts filled in I highlighted the high points of my face with Anastasia's "Pink Heart" from their Moonchild glow kit. To add a 'lil sum' sum' I used NYX's white liquid liner to outline a few areas of the skull.
Das it. This year's one and only look.
Follow me on Instagram, I post more makeup there.
Catch you on my next entry.
